By downloading or using Tanuki Vision, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Tanuki Vision is a personal video player for video and subtitle files stored on your iPhone or iPad, in iCloud Drive, on network shares, or in cloud accounts you connect. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to play and store the media you import.
Your media files stay on your device and in the accounts or shares you connect. We do not host or receive your video files on Tanuki Vision servers. Optional iCloud Sync stores connection settings, selections, appearance, and playback progress only.
Free use may include a server-configured playback-time allowance measured in UTC weekly windows and shared across devices using the same AppTransaction identity. The current default starts at 2 hours in the first active playback week, adds 1 hour for each later active week, and stops growing at 6 hours per week. Skipped weeks do not earn growth. The app requests short playback leases and may pause playback when a verified allowance is exhausted. Allowance and warning settings may be adjusted prospectively. Other library, cloud-source, metadata, sync, and handoff features are not conditioned on membership.
TanukiVision Membership provides unlimited playback while StoreKit reports an active entitlement. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically through Apple unless cancelled in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; Apple charges your account and controls renewal pricing and billing. A lifetime option, when offered, is a one-time purchase. Available products, prices, billing periods, and renewal terms shown in the purchase screen come from Apple. You can use Restore Purchase to recover eligible purchases.
Tanuki Cloud account features and iCloud Sync are managed in Settings. Optional TMDB metadata matching and online subtitle matching through SubDL are described in our Privacy Policy.
Tanuki Vision is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free metadata matching.
We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
