Getting started

TanukiVision opens straight into your library—there is no first-launch tutorial. Add music from Library → Sources, then browse and play as usual.

Import Music

  1. Open Library → Sources.
  2. Tap + and choose a local folder, cloud service, or network folder.
  3. Imported and synced songs appear in your library automatically.

Wi‑Fi Transfer

  1. Open Library → Sources → Wi‑Fi Transfer.
  2. Turn on the transfer server. Keep TanukiVision open on your iPhone—you can leave this page while uploads continue.

USB Transfer

  1. Connect your iPhone to the computer with a USB cable.
  2. On Mac, open Finder and select your iPhone. On Windows, open Apple Devices or iTunes.
  3. Open TanukiVision under File Sharing.
  4. Copy audio files into the Music folder (On My iPhone / TanukiVision / Music).
  5. Disconnect and return to TanukiVision. Your library updates automatically.

Enable Cloud in Files

  1. Install the cloud app (Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive) from the App Store and sign in.
  2. Open the Files app and tap Browse at the bottom.
  3. Tap … (More) in the top-right corner, then tap Edit.
  4. Turn on the cloud service you want. Google Drive appears as “Drive”. Tap the checkmark when finished.
  5. The enabled service now appears under Locations in Files.

TanukiVision reads cloud folders through the Files app. If a service is missing from the folder picker, turn it on here first.

Dropbox, Google Drive & OneDrive

  1. Enable the cloud service in Files (see above).
  2. In TanukiVision, open Library → Sources.
  3. Tap +, then choose Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
  4. In the folder picker, open the cloud location you enabled and select your music folder. TanukiVision scans it automatically.
  5. Connected accounts and folders appear under Library → Sources in the matching cloud section.

Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive require TanukiVision Membership. Local folders, iCloud Drive, and NAS (SMB / WebDAV) do not.

Cloud & Network Folders

  1. Open Library → Sources, tap +, then choose iCloud Drive, WebDAV, or SMB Share.
  2. Pick a music folder to connect. TanukiVision scans it automatically.
  3. Manage connected folders later from Library → Sources.

Music Folder in Files

  1. Open Files and go to On My iPhone → TanukiVision → Music.
  2. Copy audio files into the Music folder. TanukiVision syncs this folder when you return to the app.

Metadata & lyrics

Optional online matching for metadata, artwork, and lyrics is managed in Settings → Metadata. These features are off by default and do not require Membership.

Membership

TanukiVision Membership unlocks Dropbox / Google Drive / OneDrive, library sync between iPhone and iPad, cross-device playback handoff, and CarPlay. Choose monthly, yearly, or lifetime from the membership offer in Account / Settings.
